Leaderly Quote: Great Leaders Know When to Step Aside
By Jo Miller
“Great leaders know when to step aside.” — Tara Jaye Frank.
The best leaders aren’t always the most obvious ones. You might not see them visibly taking charge, owning the spotlight and taking credit for their successes (no matter how hard-earned those successes are.) The best leaders have a passion for developing other leaders. They know when to take a step back and let others shine.
In her article, Great Leaders Know When to Step Aside, Tara Jaye Frank, Hallmark’s Corporate Culture Advisor and a Speaker and Coach, wrote, “Great leaders are more than their persona. Their brand is a blend of tangible results, process improvement, creative solutions, and talent development. If they’re really good, they’ve been the “wind beneath the wings” of emerging leaders who will rise up after them, ready and able to conquer the world.”
What will you step back from this week? What will you do to let others rise up, and take on the world?
