Your Pursuit of Happiness
In honor of the anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence this July 4th, take time this week to exercise your right to pursue happiness.
Step away from the political blogs, mean spirited comics and pithy memes (they will still be there next week) and spend this week pursuing (note active word here) what makes you happy. Toes in the sand, coloring books, tic tac toe games, doodling, calling someone you never seem to have time for.
It’s difficult to carve out the time to just be happy, I get it, so here’s the game plan: 15 minutes. For 15 minutes each day, pursue something that makes you happy. No apologies, no excuses, no tagging onto something you “should” be doing. 15 dedicated, quality minutes in pursuit of happiness.
Note, this is not what you’ve been told will make you happy, but what actually makes your heart happy!
